STATE SUPPORT OF THE INVESTMENT PROJECTS WITH SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENTS
To stimulate the attraction of strategic investors to Ukraine's economy, increase its investment appeal and competitiveness, the Law of Ukraine "On State Support for Investment Projects with Significant Investments in Ukraine" came into force in February 2021.
The law provides state support to investors planning to implement projects worth at least 12 million euros over a period of up to 5 years in the following sectors:

Processing industry

Production of biogas and biomethane
-
Extraction and processing of minerals
-
Transport, logistics, and warehousing
-
Postal and courier activities
-
Waste management
-
Education, science, healthcare
-
Culture, arts, tourism, sports
-
Electronic communications
-
Resort and recreational sector
Forms of state support include:

Exemption from certain taxes and fees
-
Exemption from import duties on new equipment and components
-
Granting preferential rights to use land plots of state or communal ownership
-
Compensation of costs for connection to engineering and transport networks
-
Reimbursement of infrastructure facilities built by the investor
-
Exemption from compensation for losses in forestry production
To assist investors, a "Significant Investor's Guide" has been developed and is available in both Ukrainian and English.
The Ministry of Economy invites Ukrainian and international investors to take advantage of this mechanism for the implementation of investment projects with significant investments and to support regional development.
